AMP is more than just a youth service organization – it's a catalyst for transformation and empowerment

AMP's Mission

The Artist Mentorship Program (AMP) supports youth navigating the trauma of homelessness by creating community, relationships, and music and arts mentorships that enhance self-esteem, fortify confidence, and build pathways out of homelessness.

Providing Access to Opportunity

AMP's programs are designed to provide a safe and nurturing environment where youth can explore their creativity, develop new skills, and build supportive and trusting relationships with caring mentors. From music lessons and art workshops to job readiness training, meals and social services, AMP offers a comprehensive range of programs tailored to meet the diverse needs of unhoused youth.

Feeding the Artist Mentorship Program

Feed the Mass welcomes opportunities to partner with peer organizations in Portland, and we're thrilled to support AMP's meal provision program, providing at least 17,000 meals for their next year of operation. With an average of 50 youth visiting their drop-in center, and 90+ volunteers that contribute their time to help run these essential programs, AMP is a crucial resource to unhoused youth. We couldn't be more excited to work with them to feed their visitors, so they can concentrate more volunteer time on recording sessions, mentorship, and more!

Committed to Equity & Inclusion

AMP's commitment to equity and inclusion is woven into the fabric of everything they do - just like at Feed the Mass. We're excited to contribute to their welcoming and inclusive environment where youth from all backgrounds feel valued, respected, and supported. AMP focuses especially on highlighting the voices of marginalized communities, and their programs are always accessible and relevant to the diverse needs of their participants.
